Balochistan Human Capital Investment Project-Health
The Health Department, Government of Balochistan is determined to ensure provision of quality health services which has remained a challenege for the Government of Balochistan. The Balochistan Human Capital Investment Project is on such step toward resolving this lonstanding issue.
The project focuses on the districts of Quetta, Killa Abdullahm Pishin and Chagai while realizing the fact that refugees influx in these districts have affected the ability of the Health Department to provide quality delivery of primary health care services.
Under the project 24 Health Facilities will be focused to be equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities and ambulances, 4 BHUs will be upgraded to Rural Health Centers, establishment of blood bank and hostel facility for females in chagai, hiring of Gynecologists, Lady Medical Officers, General Surgeons and capacity development of allied health human resources such as paramedics and Community Health Workers.
Through these activities access to improved and sustained health care services will be ensured for the general public and refugees alike.

INTERVENTIONS
The project aims to improve utilization of quality health services in selected refugee districts of Balochistan by investing to fill supply and demand side gaps and strengthening service delivery systems through improve management and governance.
